Richard Marzec, 41, a social studies teacher in Old Kentucky Home Middle School in Bardstown Nelson County,  Kentucky, is facing allegations of sexual abuse of a child.

Marzec is facing a first-degree sexual abuse involving a child under age 12.

The teacher has since been placed on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
