Jefferson Fietek, 47, a theater teacher at Anoka Middle School for the Arts in Minnesota, charged in June 2020 with a total of 10 felony counts of criminal sexual conduct. The victims, in their 20s now, were minors when they were abused at school and Fietek’s Coon Rapids home.
As a result, Fietek lost his short-lived job at Boston’s Emerson College. He pleaded guilty in court this week, admitting to all charges. Fietek said he met victims through school or the theater program he co-founded, Young Artists Initiative, housed at St. Paul’s First Lutheran Church. Over his tenure with the school, multiple complaints were filed.
