Joseph Prevatte, 39, a substitute teacher at Lennard High School in Florida, is facing charges of sexual abuse against a student.

Charges:

• of lewd or lascivious battery
• and harmful explicit communication to a minor

He is also facing charges of one count of soliciting or engaging in lewd conduct with a student from another school he substituted at Manatee County High School. Both schools are located in the Hillsborough County school district.
