Summary of sexual abuse allegations against Father Joseph John Henn:
Father Joseph John Henn, a Salvatorian priest, served from 1978 to 1982 at St. Marks. He was indicted in July 2003 in Maricopa County as part of a major investigation of child sexual abuse by priests going back to the 1970s. He was accused of molesting three boys, ages 11, 13 and 15, from June 1979 to June 1981.
The same year, Henn and the Diocese of Phoenix were sued by one of Henn’s victims. In 2005, he was found working in Rome. In 2006, he was ordered extradited to the US. He fled, and his current whereabouts are unknown. The civil suit was settled for $50,000 in 2006.
Father Henn was ordained in 1978.
