Colorado Clergy Sexual Abuse in the Catholic Church
Colorado’s Catholic Dioceses, like so many around the United States, covered up sexual abuse by its clergy members. As a result, in early 2019, the Archdiocese of Denver, and the Diocese of Pueblo and Colorado Springs. The independent, voluntary reparations program to be funded by the three dioceses will be developed and administered by two nationally recognized claims administration experts, Kenneth Feinberg and Camille Biros. They are working on similar programs in several dioceses in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The Time To Act Is Now
Colorado’s reparations program will have strict deadlines for filing a claim. If a child sexual abuse survivor misses the deadline for registering or filing a claim, they will lose the ability to receive reparations from the Diocese.
