Father Andrew Burke had a lawsuit filed against him in 2005 for the abuse of a former altar boy in the 1970s. Father Burke left the priesthood in 1973. Another victim and Burke’s nephew alleged abuse after Father Burke left the priesthood. Both men filed suits in 2008, and the cases settled in 2009.  Father Burke committed suicide in 2005.
