In 1989, Father Lucas A. Galvan pled guilty to sexually fondling an 11-year-old girl. Later, a girl settled a lawsuit alleging abuse by Galvan with the Pueblo Diocese for more than $90,000. In 1992, Father Galvan began working as a priest in Argentina. As of 1997 Galvan was working as a priest in Mexico. In 2010, he was removed from duty in Mexico City but is reportedly still working in other parts of Mexico.

Father Galvan was ordained in 1980.
