Father Timothy Joseph Evans was charged with two counts of sexual abuse of three boys in the 1990s, which resulted in his removal from ministry in 2003. He was convicted in 2007 of abusing children and sentenced to 14 years to life. Shortly after, he received another 4 years due to another child abuse conviction. He was also named as an abuser in civil litigation, which settled in 2008.
