Summary of Sexual Abuse allegations against Father Joseph McGarvey:
Father Joseph McGarvey was accused of sexually abusing three teenaged boys, ages 12-15, beginning in the late 1960’s. The three victims filed a civil suit against McGarvey, which settled for $384,000. The abuse was reported to the church in 1986, but McGarvey was not removed from ministry until the lawsuit was filed in 1993.
Father McGarvey was ordained in 1950.
